CNB Bank Recent Promotions

Johnny Angelis was promoted to Vice President/ MIS Manager. Johnny has his Bachelor’s Degree from New Mexico State University and has been working at CNB Bank for three years. He and his wife Melissa have two children, Sawyer and Thea and Johnny is an active volunteer at CASA.

Sam Bridgwater was promoted to Internal Auditor in October of 2018. Sam joined CNB Bank in April of 2018 as a Credit Analyst. He graduated from New Mexico State University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration- Finance. Right out of college he worked as a licensed stock broker in Scottsdale, Arizona. Sam holds a Series 7 and Series 63 license.

Kendall Corman was promoted to Marketing Officer. Kendall began working at CNB Bank in January of 2018 as the HR & Marketing Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in December of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in graphic design.

Niki Herring was promoted to Trust Administrative Officer. Niki began working at CNB Bank in 2011. She started as a teller, then worked in New Accounts, was the Trust/HR Assistant and was then Trust Administrator. She has attended two Cannon Trust Schools. Niki and her husband have a four year old son and a daughter due in March. 

Areli Neri was promoted to Credit Analyst Officer. Areli received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration- Accounting from New Mexico State University and she has plans to pursue her Master’s in Accounting. Areli moved to Carlsbad from El Paso 8 years ago and began work with CNB Bank in November of 2016. She is an active church member as well as the treasurer of her church. Areli and her husband have two daughters and one son.

Valerie Olivo was promoted to Assistant Vice President / Head Teller. Valerie has been working at CNB Bank for 11 years. She is continuing to work on her Associate’s Degree in Business and is an active volunteer with Relay for Life. Valerie and her husband have been married for 16 years and have 3 children.

President Jay Jenkins stated, “These individuals possess the qualities and values that are vital to the success of their departments and the leadership skills to complement our officer team and bank operations.  I am looking forward to 2019 and the exciting things happening at our bank.”
