Free Tax Prep for Some KC Residents
KC Community Tax Day-Union Station Saturday 10am-4pm

United Way of Greater Kansas City and Next Step KC. are kicking off the 2016 tax season with a community event on Saturday, Jan. 30, 10 am to 4 pm, at Union Station. Those attending will have an opportunity to have their taxes completed for free (incomes of $54,000 or below). Trained volunteers will be available to help individuals prepare tax returns. Besides Saturday, many Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites will be open throughout the tax season. Click here to see the KC VITA sites for Tax Year 2015 (the 2016 filing season).
