CNB’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Setting the Tone and Direction of the Bank
John P. Lovinger
County National Bank’s Board of Directors is comprised of local business leaders with the commitment and vision to guide the bank toward its mission of providing financial products and services to customers in our local markets. And because of the efforts of these eight elected leaders, CNB has remained well-capitalized, stable, and profitable. John P. (Jack) Lovinger, one of the bank’s valued Board members, was elected to the Board of Directors in 2003.

At that time, there were openings on the Board due to the retirement of Director James Parker and the death of Director Roger Boyd, so the bank’s former President, the late Norman Rodgers, and current Board Member David Pope asked Jack to consider joining the Board. He said that he was honored to be asked.

New ATMs Coming Soon
Exciting News! We’re installing new ATMs! The new ATMs have upgraded features for your convenience, including non-glare and wider viewing screens. The new machines meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and are equipped for the hearing-impaired.  They also have a Spanish language option. Another new feature is that the card readers allow you to “swipe” your card rather than insert it into a slot.

Ready to buy a home?
How much can you afford?
by Scott E. Evans, Vice President - Senior Mortgage Officer

Determining how much “home you can afford” depends on several important factors including:
  • Your annual gross income. You can get a very rough estimate of the affordable home price range by multiplying your annual gross income by 2.5. For example, if your annual gross income is $50,000.00, you may be able to afford a home worth $125,000.00 (this varies depending on current interest rates, your debt and credit history).
  • Your credit history and score. Your credit can affect your ability to qualify for a mortgage and your mortgage rate. Before you shop for a house or a mortgage, find out what your credit score is by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling (877) 322-8228. Be sure to do this only once a year because your score can be negatively affected if pulled too often.

The Top 10 Happiest Jobs
Did your occupation make the list?

Last year, Forbes.com featured a report by the National Organization for Research at the University of Chicago ranking the “happiest” jobs. Some may surprise you, and of course, there are exceptions to every rule. Nevertheless, the list is worth checking out.

Choose Your Food Wisely
Strange side effects from every day foods

Photo: Choose Your Food Wisely
You already know that eating ice cream too fast causes brain freeze, but there are plenty of other foods, like grapefruit, carrots and coffee, that can also cause some rather interesting after effects.
