Are you ready? You'll want to reserve your seat now for this FREE educational workshop.  Living a long life is a possibility. Preparing for it is a necessity. Understanding Medicare & long-term care is one of the most important factors you will have to monitor regarding your healthcare costs.  You'll find out when to enroll in Medicare and what health services are covered by Medicare Part A and Part B.  Receive answers to questions regarding avoiding unnecessary charges and fees, and when is long-term care included in Medicare -  if at all.

OCTOBER 31  BELLMEAD Join our Bellmead staff at the Bellmead Police and Fire Department TRUNK OR TREAT! In case of rain the Trunk or Treat festivities will be moved to the Civic Center located at the end of Parrish Street from 5:30-7:30 p.m. See you there!  #HappyHalloween

OCTOBER 31  BROWNWOOD Join our Brownwood staff at the Trick or Treat trail, which will be  moved inside the Depot and Adams Street Community Center, 5-7 p.m. if rain in the forecast.

OCTOBER 30  CEN-TEX HISPANIC CHAMBER ANNUAL BANQUET  "Building Dreams Into Destiny"  presented by guest speaker Henry Cisneros at the Waco Convention Center Brazos Ballroom 6 p.m.

OCTOBER 24  WACO - Best Ways to Pay for College & Avoid Student Debt Too many of our members think their student children will not be able to afford and attend higher education institutions. This event is designed to enlighten you on the available resources and the process of paying for your family's higher education. You'll learn how the government and universities determine financial need and how to maximize the amount of aid you may be qualified to receive. You'll explore how to find a college's graduation rate and why it's crucial -- and much more.

OCTOBER 19 International Credit Union Day
First Central will, along with more than 56,000 credit unions around the world, celebrate International Credit Union Day (ICU), and the philosophy and achievements of the credit union movement. We celebrate ICU Day because we believe in the not-for profit structure and people-first principles of credit unions that make them the ideal financial partners for all people. This year's ICU Day theme is "Dreams Thrive Here," a celebration of how credit unions help people achieve their biggest goals in life. The public is welcome to stop by any of our branches to celebrate with First Central and find out more about a worldwide movement that's made helping people its number one priority for more than 160 years.

OCTOBER 7 BELLMEAD LaVega Pirate Run Avast ye mateys!  Join First Central in support of the La Vega Pirate 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk! Come and get your ARRRGH on and run like a pirate.Cost on race day is $25. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 1 mile, and under 10 years old to 60+ age groups in the 5K. OCTOBER 7 HILLSBORO Pioneer Days, Whitney, Texas You are invited to enjoy this great fall weather this season by joining us at the 42nd Annual Whitney Pioneer Days festival, parade and walk/run. We will have our great tote bags and you'll have the opportunity to receive the bright colorful (and heavy duty) free First Central umbrella!
