In accordance with the bylaws of First Central Credit Union, applications for nominations are being accepted for the three open credit union director positions.
Consideration for board membership is available to any credit union member over 21 years of age. This year, your board has appointed Tom Yows of Waco as chairman, Tracy Ebarb of Brownwood, and Rhonda Burkhart of Hillsboro to serve as the Nominating Committee. Current directors whose 3-year terms are expiring include Alfred Solano and Vicki Deckard. Also expiring is the current term of Randy Miller.
Serving as a volunteer on your credit union board of directors is a great way to participate in the democracy that makes us different and unique from other financial institutions. Members of the Board of Directors have the duty and responsibility to set direction and control the credit union according to the wishes of the membership and in accordance with all pertinent laws and regulations. They set policy, ensure First Central Credit Union maintains its sound financial condition and decide what programs First Central Credit Union will offer and what type of facilities it will use. Regular meetings are scheduled once a month, normally on the evenings of the forth Wednesday. Terms of office are three years.
