Q & A Kyle McPherson

Each month, we will be featuring one of our employees for all of us to learn more about each other. This month we would like you to meet Credit Analyst Kyle McPherson.

Kyle with his wife Nina and fur babies Minny and Lily.

Where did you work before FLB?

  • I worked days at Tinker FCU as a consumer officer while moonlighting at Grand Cru Wine & Spirits. At TFCU, I opened accounts, originated and closed loans, and generally assisted customers. I left because I was ready to work for a bank that would be able to service commercial customers and where employees knew the customers.

Tell us a little bit about what you do here.

  • As a Credit Analyst, my primary duty to review and analyze current and potential borrowers and present the information to Loan Committee.

What is your favorite part of working here?

  • I love the fellowship that FLB has and how often we look for ways to give back to our community. I like knowing everyone that works here and not feeling lost amongst the crowds.

If you could pick anyone to have lunch with (real or fictional, dead or alive) who would it be and why?

  • Sir Paul McCartney. I was raised on The Beatles and would love to hear his personal account of his story.

What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

  • I really enjoy photography, seeing movies, playing with my dogs. I have a 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix and a 11-week old Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

  • Barcelona, Spain. I traveled there in 2016 and proposed to my now wife in front of the Magic Fountain of Montjuїc at the Palau Nacional. An absolute must-see in Barcelona.

What might people be surprised to know about you?

  • I love making coffee and espresso. I have a French Press, an espresso machine, and a traditional drip coffee maker. Sitting down with friends and having espresso or coffee is my favorite way to start a great conversation.
