Q & A Jamie Vafadar

At First Liberty, we are always looking for ways to serve our community, including getting to know you better. We want to be the type of bank who knows your name. We also want you to get to know us better. Each month, we will be featuring one of our employees for all of us to learn more about each other. This month, we would like you to meet Jamie Hudgins Vafadar.

Jamie and husband Ronny

Where did you work before FLB?

Before FLB, I began working in the consumer loan industry in 2004, and then switched over to the commercial side in 2014.

Tell us a little bit about what you do here.

Summed up, I manage a large loan portfolio, mainly consisting of commercial real estate loans but some oil and gas/C&I.

What is your favorite part of working here?

Top 2 are the atmosphere and my co-workers.

If you could pick anyone to have lunch with (real or fictional, dead or alive) who would it be and why?

Mother Theresa.  I believe she got it right when it came to understanding humanity and God. I would love to talk to her about her perspective on life and God.

What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

Spend time with my husband and my family, listen to you-tube sermons, go to the gym, cook, read, and just be creative.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

So far, Hawaii and Colorado.

What might people be surprised to know about you?

I’m fascinated by Psychology, trained in MMA for over 5 years, and have a very artistic/poetic side.
