We're excited to announce that Park Bank Mobile Banking now offers Popmoney, a person-to-person payment service previously available only through online banking. Additional service updates related to Park Bank Mobile Banking are also on the way.
In addition to all the great features our mobile banking app currently offers, we'll be integrating our Popmoney service to the mix. Popmoney is a person-to-person payment service that offers the ability to send money, view incoming payments and account activity. You can use Popmoney for all types of payments - send money to kids at college, send a gift of cash, or pay back a friend for last night's dinner, all from the convenience of your smartphone. If you're already signed up for Popmoney in Park Bank OnLine and have the Park Bank Mobile Banking app on your smartphone, you'll see this new feature on January 20, 2013.
There are also two changes to our mobile banking service that are now in effect. Apple® recently announced a policy change that no longer gives us the ability for our Park Bank Mobile Banking app to be supported on the original iPhone® 2G and 3G models, specifically. The mobile browser and text message channels are unaffected by this change and will remain accessible to those with any iPhone model.
Also, due to the decline in BlackBerry® users in the consumer mobile market, the Park Bank Mobile Banking app is no longer available for download on BlackBerry mobile devices. If you downloaded our app on your BlackBerry prior to Sunday, January 13, you'll still be able to access the Mobile Banking icon, but it will redirect to the mobile browser channel and offer a slightly different user experience than what the current Mobile Banking application offers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
