Karen Says Goodbye, Lynne Says Hello!
by Connie Braceland

The whirlwind of activities I talked about last month continues!
  • Just last week we returned from our Northern Italy Tour: No George Clooney sightings during our time at Lake Como, but thats OK: The scenery in Venice, Milan, Nice, and Monaco more than made up for it! See our Featured Photo below and check out WSBs Facebook page and online for more trip photos!
  • This week we held two signups: Tuesday nights Special Preview and Signup for the Rhine River Cruise happening September 16-27, 2017, and yesterdays first-day signup for our Veterans Day Tribute day trip on November 10: If you missed either of these signups, please feel free to give me a call about availability!
  • Today is our Club 50 Advisory Board Fall Meeting, in which we hope to narrow down the day and overnight trips for 2017, and also seriously look ahead to the big trips for 2018! Thank you again for all of the great trip ideas you have shared!
  • Today is also the official start of the Club 50 Annual Holiday Party season the invitations are now out! Please see Club 50 Opportunities for details.
  • And next week, we invite you to our Thursday, October 13, open house here in the Club 50 department stop by anytime between 2 and 6 p.m. -- to say goodbye to my assistant, Karen.
There are no words eloquent enough, to thank Karen for all that she has done for the Club 50 department, over the last eight years. I have had the pleasure of working with her for the past three, and she has made my job so enjoyable and easy!

Thank you Karen, for all of your hard work and dedication. I will miss you very much, but wish you the very best of luck in your new home! Please keep in touch, and know that you are always welcome to join us on a future Club 50 trip! Thank you again for everything!

While we will be wishing Karen a fond farewell at the open house, it will also be an opportunity to welcome our new WSB Event Coordinator, Lynne Paolillo!

Lynne is no stranger to Watertown Savings Bank: She interned here the summers of 2006, 2007, and 2008 in the Marketing department (you may remember seeing her at the Customer Appreciation cookouts!), working closely with Kelly Cronin, and she also worked as a teller in 2009. She was always interested in returning to the Bank full-time someday, so when opportunity knocked this fall, Lynne answered!

Actually, Lynne is joining us at an opportune time: She is the perfect person to help Kelly and I as part of the new Community Relations department: You know how passionate WSB is about helping the community, so they have created an organizational plan to maintain and even strengthen our emphasis on participation in community service and at community events including, of course, the Club 50 program. We want to take all of WSBs events and Club 50 trips to the next level!

So Kelly, Lynne, and I look forward to seeing you soon at one of our WSB community activities!
