April has arrived and here at Club 50 we were more than ready to shake off our winter boots and step out with our best shoes (or sandals) forward. The month of March was a busy one that held two first-day signups and the opening trip of 2017. If you cant already tell, we were just a little bit excited to get back into our travel swing again!
The Dinner Detective was our first trip of the year, last month on Sunday, March 12th. The group ventured out for a day-trip into Somerville, MA for an interactive murder mystery matinee show! Lynne and I were so impressed at the great detective work our members wow-ed us with. The performance had everyone on the edge of their seat, especially when the murderer (who was sitting amongst our crowd) was finally revealed! After the show, we all left with our stomachs full from a delicious meal, and aching from all the belly laughs shared!
But speaking of tripsthe Club now has two 2017 trips under our belt! We just got back from our sold-out Edward Kennedy Institute trip on April 11th. It was a wonderfully warm and G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S day. Check out our Featured Photo column to hear all about it!
If you didnt make it out for our first trips of the year, no need to worry we have plenty more coming your way! There are another two first-day signups ahead of us in May. Please refer to the Forms panel on the left-hand side of the page for each of the two trip flyers. Also check out our Club 50 Opportunities and Save the Date columns for more details!
In addition to all we have going on now...were always thinking ahead to prevent any gaps on our travel calendars. The Club 50 Advisory Board met earlier this month on April 4th for one of our quarterly meetings. The group welcomed our three new male Board members to their first meeting and quickly encompassed them in all the FUN(at least we hope it was fun right!?)! We had much to discuss, most importantly what we want to do for the big trips in 2018. Alaska is the main front-runner, our Board members gave us fantastic input and feedback on the trip proposals we had received! Finalizing the trips is a big undertaking and we couldnt do it without all their help. Please see below for a list of our current Advisory Board members- we thank you again for all you do! We should know by next month what the two big 2018 trips will beyou will hear it here first, so be on the lookout!
