A Busy, Busy Fall!
by Connie Braceland
We thought this summer was a traveling whirlwind, but we are just as full steam ahead for fall!
We just enjoyed a sold-out Essex Steam Train & Riverboat day trip in Essex, CT, and were soon off on our Northern Italy Tour to close out September.
Then, as soon as we return, we launch the preview and sign up for our Rhine River Cruise in September 2017. (See Save the Date for the details.)
We also have a sign up in early October for our November day trip, a Veterans Day Tribute. (Please refer to Club 50 Opportunities for that one.)
This fall will also feature an open house for those of you who wish to say goodbye to my assistant Karen before she heads South! Karen has been with Club 50 for over eight years, and has done an outstanding job for us. She will be sorely missed, but we wish her and her family the very best, as they embark on this new adventure! So stop in Thursday, October 13, any time from 2 to 6 p.m., right here in the Atrium where the Club 50 department resides with our lovely orchids, palms, and bromeliad! We will have light refreshments while we have a last chance to ask Karen travel questions and try to talk her into joining us for our Kentucky Derby trip!
Speaking of which, our Run for the Roses! featuring Nashville, Memphis & the 143rd Kentucky Derby April 30-May 7, 2017, is coming along nicely, but we still have spaces open for those of you who wish to join us for those Derby grandstand seats and so much more, including Graceland, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Louisville Slugger Museum.
Hope to see you at the open house and on one (or more) of our trips!

A little champagne with your chapeau?
Mary Barry, Jean Caloggero, Gloria Burns, and Club 50 Advisory Board member Barbara Burns (left to right) made the most of a day at the races during last months 3-day Saratoga, NY, trip, which also included a very scenic Lake George steamboat dinner cruise and a very fun play at The Lake Theatre.
