Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
by Arielle Goldhaber

It's already mid-December!

As always, the parties were elegant with the goal of having all of our guests relaxed, and to have a good time. It was my first round of parties, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was well-behaved, which is what surprised me most, because I know you can get rowdy!

Connie's Corner

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

2019 was indeed, a wonderful year!

We had a great time on all of the trips, and the two Holiday Parties on Dec. 4th and Dec. 11th were very successful. It was nice to visit with members we haven't seen in awhile, and to see so many familiar faces, enjoying the night.

We are busy working on the trips for 2020. The annual Travel Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6th, 5:00PM, at the Post 440 in Newton. We hope to see many of you there.

We wish you and your loved ones a very happy, healthy, and safe Holiday season.

Thank you for being part of our family!

See you next year! :)

For the second time, we unexpectedly had a majority of attendees sign up on the preview night.  If you are interested, please let us know by January! Cancellations are rare for big trips like this, but we will still take your name and place you on the waiting list.

Our Trips for 2020

We are currently working on our itinerary for 2020 days trips and overnight trips. We take all recommendations into consideration. We want to make the year 2020 our best Club 50 year yet!

Closing a Retirement Income Gap

When you determine how much income you'll need in retirement, you may base your projection on the type of lifestyle you plan to have and when you want to retire. However, as you grow closer to retirement, you may discover that your income won't be enough to meet your needs. If you find yourself in this situation, you'll need to adopt a plan to bridge this projected income gap.
November Chills, December Thrills

Huddled among friends, enjoying the winter scene! We braved a little bit of precipitation, but all-in-all we managed to stay warm and happy. It was a beautiful way to end the year.

Coming Up in the Community

VOTE for a local non-profit!
If you stop into the bank, be sure to cast your vote for Customer Choice!  Deadline 12/31.
We will be giving out our own "I voted" stickers.

WSB Coat Drive - Collecting through 12/31

For the month of December, Watertown Savings Bank will be collecting gently used winter coats, any size, any color, any pattern, any age! What matters is that they are going to be protecting those in need from New England's harsh winters. We will also be accepting gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, etc. any size, any age!

Please drop off your warm winter wares at any of our locations! WSB will then deliver these coats to Anton's Cleaners in Newton to be cleaned. Finally, they will be donated to the Coats for Kids program. This program donates coats to families in need throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Visit for more information.

Tree Lighting was a SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone who attended our tree lighting, despite the cold! It was a great event, and we were even blessed with a little bit of falling snow to top our tree. Frosty the Snowman made an appearance and was a great friend to take photos with! We saw a lot of parents and grandparents with kids having fun outside, sharing the Holiday Spirit. We are already looking forward to our 10th Annual Tree Lighting in 2020, which we hope to make even more special for the community.
